Motion sensors are devices used for detecting and measuring of some type of motion. It can be acceleration, angular velocity, orientation in 3D space etc. Some sensors can measure their own motion (like accelerometers, gyroscopes, IMUs) and others can measure motion of the controlled objects (like PIR motion sensors).
